At the Enforce TAC 2022 trade fair in Nuremberg, Wintex Apparel GmbH will be exhibiting its special forces weather protection clothing, which was recently procured by the special forces of the German Armed Forces. The weather protection clothing system consists of an overjacket and overtrousers.
The company was awarded the contract to supply the clothing systems to the Bundeswehr via Bw Bekleidungsmanagement GmbH at the end of April last year. A corresponding framework agreement was concluded with the company for the supply of special forces weather protection clothing in five-colour camouflage printing and multi-camouflage printing in the period from 1 May 2021 to 30 April 2026.
A minimum order quantity of 1,405 overtrousers and overjackets in five-colour camouflage print and 2,119 overtrousers and overjackets in multi-camouflage print as well as 500 pack sacks were put out to tender. If required, the Bundeswehr can increase the order quantity to 4,700 overtrousers and overjackets in five-colour camouflage print and 5,500 overtrousers and overjackets in multi-camouflage print.
According to the announcement by Bw Bekleidungsmanagement GmbH on the European procurement platform TED, the company won the contract against two other providers. The decisive criteria for the award were
- Price, with a weighting of 50 per cent
- Quality of the offer sample, with a weighting of 40 per cent
- Delivery times for follow-up call-offs, with a weighting of 10 per cent
